 Family Hike to Blue Job Mountain
Saturday, August, 1st
Blue Job is known for its family walking and hiking trails amidst the low blueberry bushes. Take a picnic and enjoy a day of nature, bringing home blueberries as your reward. The group will meet at the YMCA at 8:30am. Your own transportation to the hike is required. This is a free family event.

 2nd Family Annual Mini-Golf Tournament
Thursday, July 23rd at 4:30pm or 6:30pm
The Sanford-Springvale YMCA will be hosting the 2nd Annual Family Mini-Golf Tournament at Shaw's Ridge Farm. Registration fee will include tee time and ice cream for four! Proceeds will support the YMCA's scholarship program.
Ages: ALL!

 Geocaching
This is a two part series.
Learn a modern day form of treasure hunting. A worldwide hobby, geocaching uses GPS devices to follow clues to locate items hidden by geocaching enthusiasts. GPS devices are helpful but not required. This is a great hobby for families or individuals.
Date: Thursday, July 9th, 6:30-8pm (classroom)
Saturday, July 11th, 9am (Hike/Geocache)

 YMCA Star Party
Members and the community are invited to join us for star gazing during Perseids, the biggest meteor shower of the year. In addition to the meteor shower of over 60 shooting stars, Saturn and Jupiter will also be visible. No equipment is required. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic or snacks. Led by Matt Simon.

Tie Dye Workshop
Saturday, July 11th at 9am
Back by popular demand! Join Nick Georges and create authentic tie-dye shirts, wall hangings or other times of your choice. Nick will provide the dye and share patterns for specific designs and color combinations. Samples are on display in the YMCA lobby!

 Aqua Fitness/Kayaking Class
Saturday, July 25th at 8am
YMCA members ages 18 and older will meet at the foot of Mousam Lake for a 30 minute water exercise session, a one hour kayak trip, followed by a 15 minute stretch. Led by Merilee Perkins.
Kayaks required.
