Never Miss a Monday: Why the Start of Your Week Matters

When it comes to building a strong mind and body, one simple rule has made all the difference in my journey: Never miss a Monday.

Just like making your bed in the morning sets the tone for your day, starting your week with intentional movement and mental focus sets the tone for everything that follows. It’s not just about checking a workout off the list — it’s about showing up for yourself right out of the gate.

Training your body on a Monday brings an early win. It fuels momentum, sharpens focus, and gives you a head start on building energy, discipline, and resilience for the days ahead. The endorphins, the improved sleep, the clarity of mind — all of it begins with that first step.

But it’s not just about physical training. Mondays are also a powerful time to train your mind. For me, it’s diving into a few pages of a book — usually something focused on personal or professional development — that aligns with where I want to grow. That small act creates a ripple effect through the rest of my week, keeping me grounded in my goals.

Eventually, these practices lead to habit stacking, where your morning workout, mental focus, and intentional choices start to build on each other naturally. But it starts small. It starts with showing up. It starts with Monday.

So, enjoy your weekend — and when Monday comes, don’t skip it. Show up. Set the tone. Let that first victory carries

you into the rest of your week.

Never miss a Monday — your future self will thank you.
