Camp Marland at Bunganut Lake
The Sanford Springvale YMCA summer camps offer a safe, fun, supervised experience. It is our goal to provide your child with a summer filled with memorable moments. Our “Character   Development” program focuses on the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility which helps to build a positive environment for each participant to succeed.  Our camp staff create a nurturing environment that fosters relationships and builds friendships.  We offer a mix of programs that allows every child to experience a variety of activities to meet their creative and active interests. All of our summer camps provide different activities based on age, appropriate curriculum and since we offer a program for children ages 5-12, there is surely a good fit for your child here!

Camp Marland
Camp Marland, now located on Bunganut Lake in Lyman includes; 30 wooded acres and miles trails to explore, beachfront and water access for boating, swimming and fishing, a camp lodge, outdoor theatre, playing fields and wooded program space. Our camp environment provides outdoor space for adventure and exploration, while also allowing necessary indoor space so campers may take cover on rainy or extremely hot days.

At Camp Marland, campes will experience:

  • Hiking and Nature Exploration
  • Waterfront Activities (swimming, fishing)
  • Team Sports (kickball, volleyball, soccer, baseball)
  • Large Group Non-Elimination Games
  • Arts and Craft Activities
  • Drama based games and productions
  • Character Development focusing on the YMCA core values
  • Environmental awareness and appreciation
  • Bi- weekly Field Trips to local, mountains & beaches

Leader in Training Program (Ages 13-15) (two 4 week sessions)
We are proud to offer a Leader in Training program this summer as part of our Camp Marland summer experience. Participants will take part in team and leadership skill building activities, have an active role in day to day camp operations, and go on small group field trips to further enhance their leadership experience. As part of our L.I.T. program campers will also take part in a junior lifeguard training program preparing them for being lifeguards in the future. Leaders in Training will also have the opportunity to participate in some of the daily activities with other campers like swimming, nature walks, and sports and games.
Fee: $250 per session

Camp Details
Our camping season starts Monday, June 21 and ends on Friday, August 27. All sessions (10 sessions total) are one week in length and campers have the option of attending three or five days per week. 
Hours:  
Camp Marland at Bunganut Lake:
9:00am-3:30pm (10 Hour Maximum)

Pre-Camp:  
At the YMCA: 6:00-8:30am
At Bunganut: begins at 8:00am

Post-Camp: 
At the YMCA: 4:00-6:00pm   
At Bunganut: ends at 5:00pm
NOTE: Campers can be in Camp no more than 10 hours each day

Fee: 
Camp Marland (3 days):  $100/week
Camp Marland (5 days): $150/week
*A non-refundable one time $25 registration deposit is required

Transportation: 
Campers will be bussed from the YMCA to camp each day. The bus leaves at 8:30am and returns at 4:00pm. Parents may also drop off (beginning at 8:00am) and pick up (by 5:00pm) their child.
